Abstract

In Vietnam, agriculture plays a crucial role in ensuring national food security, providing a livelihood and stable income for farmers, and creating high-value products for export. However, constraints have resulted in declined productivity and quality of agricultural products, causing wastes in agriculture. In this research, the case-study method is used to investigate systematically what the wastes are and what causes wastes in the agricultural supply chain, especially in manufacturing and transportation, of which some are adherent to the typical characteristics of Vietnam’s agriculture. The findings can be used to propose productivity and quality improvement measures in Vietnam’s agriculture in later researches
