Digital Ecosystem and Digital Transformation in the Vietnam Electricity Corporation

Abstract
Currently, digital transformation is a great need for Vietnamese businesses. To build a
digital transformation strategy, they need to have a good understanding of digital economy, digital
transformation, and digital ecosystem. This paper therefore provides a review of digital economy,
digital transformation theories in order to build a concept of digital ecosystem. The paper also studies
the digital transformation carried out by the Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN), identifying
factors that affect the Corporation’s ecosystem, and ranking those factors in the Corporation’s digital
transformation, and proposing a basis for the its leaders to build an effective and reasonable digital
transformation strategy.
