Presumption of innocence – Awareness And Constitutional Provisions

Abstract
Presumption of innocence that until now has been recognized as universal human rights norm, has been adopted and guaranteed in many national constitutions. Despite some limitations in comprehension, first 10 Amendments of the US Constitution is the first legal instrument that ever adopted this principal in the world. The history of constitution making in Vietnam also shows a complicated development in awareness on the principal, after 5 times of amendment, presumption of innocence was finally recognized in the Constitution.
