Volatile constituents of Zingiber zerumbet (L.) Smith in Ben En National Park, Thanh Hoa Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
The chemical constituents of essential oils obtained from the hydrodistillation of the rhizome of Zingiber zerumbet, were being reported. The combined techniques of gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were employed in the analysis. The main compounds of the rhizome oil were zerumbone (40.6%), camphene (9.3%), a-humelene (6.8%), camphor (5.8%), 1,8-cineole (5.8%) and santolina triene (5.7%).
