Abstract

Based on samples collected in Khe The stream, My Son sanctuary, Quang Nam province in two field surveys on August, 2016 and April, 2017, a total 44 species belonging to 28 genera, 10 families have been recorded.  Among them, Baetidae is the most diverse group with 12 species, followed by Heptageniidae and Leptophlebiidae, both families have 07 species. Ephemellidae and  Ephemereidae have 05 and 04 species, respectively. Two families Caenidae and Potamanthidae have 03 species. Meanwhile, each of the families including Polymitacyidae, Teloganellidae and Teloganodidae have 01 species. The result of comparing species composition and distribution characteristics of mayfly in 3 different habitats indicated a high similarity of species composition among habitats, and the distribution characteristic according to the number of species and the number of individuals in the area of 0.25 m2 varies between the habitats.
