E-Voting in Vietnam - Prospects and Suggestions from Experiences of the United States and European Countries

Abstract
The right to vote is one of every citizen's most fundamental political rights. However, traditional voting methods have demonstrated several inherent limitations in past elections. This article examines the limitations of traditional voting and explores the potential of electronic voting (e-voting) systems as a means to address these challenges and enhance electoral processes in Vietnam. Drawing from the US and some European research on the application of e-voting systems, the article addresses some experiences and proposes recommendations for establishing an e-voting framework in Vietnam
