Recommendations on Revising Provisions on Corruption Crimes of the Criminal Code 2015 (Amended 2025) in the New Context

Abstract
Corruption crimes are acts that undermine the proper functioning of agencies and organizations, committed by individuals in positions of power while performing their duties, for personal gain. These acts infringe upon the interests of the state, organizations, and citizens. This article contributes to the ongoing revision and improvement of the Criminal Code 2015 (as amended in 2025) concerning corruption offenses. It aligns with the policies and directives of the Party and State, including Resolution No. 168/NQ-CP dated October 10, 2023, which outlines the National Strategy for Anti-Corruption and Negativity until 2030. The article identifies key issues and proposes revisions to the Vietnamese Criminal Code regarding corruption crimes. The aim is to enhance the prevention and effective combat of these crimes in response to new challenges and requirements.
