Abstract

This study describes and systemizes data on morphology, microscopy characteristics of Balanophora sp. collected from Cao Bang province (Vietnam). The study results show that the studied Balanophora had the botanical characteristics similar to those of Balanophora indica (Arnott) Griff in the family Balanophoraceae. The results helped build a relatively complete data set on the species’ anatomy and micro-anatomy characteristics of roots, leaves, whole-plant medicinal powder, and contributed to the completion of the monograph on the Balanophora indica (Arnott) Griff in the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia.
