Maritime Science and Technology Information System Development Policies: International Experience and Practice in Vietnam

Abstract

Abstract: This paper studies the reality of research on science and technology information system development policies in the world and practices in Vietnam. The paper reviews the policies for developing some of the world's leading science and technology information centres. The paper also assesses the current state of the science and technology information system in Vietnam, its legal bases as well as its importance for the development of the maritime field.
