The Vietnamese Enterprise’s Technological Capacity in the Context of the 4th Industrial Revolution

Abstract

The article comprehensively assesses the Vietnamese enterprise’s technological capacity in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution against the following criteria: capacity of technology exploitation–use–operation; capacity of technology innovation and upgrade, and capacity of new technology research and development. Limited resources have a direct impact on the enterprise’s technology exploitation–operation capacity. As the enterprises still face many difficulties,  technology innovation and upgrade activities are left open. Besides, the current level of new technology research and development capacity shows that Vietnamese enterprises have not yet made the expected achievements despite the attention, investment and support policies from the Government.
