Abstract

The outbreak of World War II in 1939 put an end to the connection between
Indochina Communist Party and French Communist Party. Only after the success of
August Revolution in 1945, the appearance of the Democratic Republic o f Vietnam with
The Declaration of Independence and the visit of Vietnam Parliament Delegation led
by Pham Van Đong in April in 1946 did the French Communist Party know about the
development, of the Revolution in Vietnam. From that time, the French Communist
Party tried their best to promote the French people’s movement, against the invasion of
Vietnam by the French government. Finally, with their great efforts, with people's
supports all over the world, including the French people, the Vietnamese people
succeded in finishing their 9-year resistance with the great victory in Dien Bien Phu.
The role and contributions of the French Communist Party in mobilizing the
French people’s anti-war movement was very great and practical.
