Abstract

: Although social capital research has appeared around the world for many years, Vietnam has only recently become interested in the topic in the past 20 years. Social capital is acknowledged as an important resource that supports socio-economic development generally, benefits all parties involved, and specifically develops community-based tourism in a sustainable manner. This article focuses on highlighting social capital as a resource that contributes significantly to the growth of community-based tourism in the Western Nghe An in terms of factors like cohesion, social network, association, cooperation, and trust.
